Update
Earlier this month, we had Chiana tested again. After her last significant increase, we were bracing for an even higher result, but the numbers exceeded that. My husband thought the viral load would reach the 30-million range, but it climbed to over 45 million. .

Analysis
We were taken aback by the significant rise in Chiana’s viral load. It’s unclear why the viral load keeps increasing. One possibility is that previous lower readings were anomalies. Additionally, we’ve always known that Chiana might have been underdosed on her previous medication regimen. However, this month, we made a change, starting her on a new medication regimen: dolutegravir 50 mg/day, beginning on December 21, 2024.
Next Steps
- Monitor Chiana's response to the new dolutegravir regimen.
- Continue tracking any changes in her behavior or health.
