When Talyn joined our family, we made sure to vaccinate him against FeLV right away. I didn’t want to risk him contracting the illness.
At the time, Chiana had SNAP-tested negative, so we thought everything was fine. Unfortunately, she was later diagnosed with FeLV before we could vaccinate her.
Despite this, we’ve stayed vigilant by testing and vaccinating Talyn yearly to keep him as safe as possible.
What we use: Nobivac Feline 2-FeLV
Although the general recommendation is to vaccinate every two years, our vet consulted the manufacturer, which advised annual vaccinations because of Chiana’s diagnosis.
We completely agree with this approach, and so far, Talyn has always SNAP-tested negative.
